MoU signed by Gazprom and ENGIE

A working meeting has been held between Alexey Miller (Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee) and Isabelle Kocher (CEO of ENGIE) in Paris.

The parties discussed the progress that has been made of and the prospects for co-operation in the gas sector, focusing particularly on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project.

Particular attention was paid to Russian gas supplies to France. It was noted that gas exports to France added 11.4% in the period from 1 January - 23 April, compared to the same period of 2016. In 2016, Gazprom exported 11.5 billion m3 of gas to France, which was 18.2% higher than in 2015.

During the course of the meeting, Miller and Kocher signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which aims to promote co-operation between Gazprom and ENGIE.

Conexus Baltic Grid to go ahead with pipeline repairs

The Latvian unified natural gas and transmission operator has announced that repairs to the gas pipeline Vireši-Tallinn at Valmiera are key to maintaining gas supply security, and will go ahead.
