Gazprom Management Committee confident that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project will be completed on time.
The final environmental impact assessment for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline has been submitted to the Russian Environmental Inspectorate for review.
Nord Stream 2 AG has submitted a revised compensation concept. The company has “found a consensual solution in the interest of the farmers and the environment.”
Two new studies on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline have been published, highlighting how the project will enhance competition and reduce gas prices across Europe, saving EU economies €8 billion per year.
During a working meeting between OMV and Gazprom, it was noted that in 2017 the demand from Austrian consumers for Russian gas significantly surpassed last year’s indicator.
Both Nord Stream pipeline strings have been fully operational since 2012, and have since provided a reliable delivery of natural gas to European consumers.
