The Savage Bakken Connector pipeline, which plans to connect the Trenton hub to DAPL, is set to include approximately 2 miles of 10 in. crude oil pipeline facilities. The pipeline will have an initial capacity of 60 000 bpd and an anticipated in-service date of 1 June.
Savage is seeking commitments from interested parties that are capable of committing to shipping at least 10 000 bpd for a minimum contract term of 18 months. As a common carrier pipeline (as defined in the Interstate Commerce Act) the Savage Bakken Connector pipeline would be subject to the jurisdiction of the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Pipeline is set to provide benefits to shippers, including a direct, pipe-to-pipe connection from Savage’s Trenton hub to DAPL’s pipeline system for further transport to prime markets, providing customers with greater optionality when combined with the Trenton hub’s existing outbound options.
