ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) on 8 December 2021 announced two transactions intended to core up the important Asia-Pacific segment of its diverse global portfolio.

The company has signed a purchase agreement for a 140 mile natural gas pipeline in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, formerly owned by Red Fork Energy.

The costs associated with onshore pipeline projects are likely to increase by between 4% and 6% globally by the end of 2022 against current levels, a Rystad Energy analysis reveals.

The project is designed to transport natural gas from the Haynesville, Marcellus, Utica and Barnett shales and the Mid-Continent region, to the US Gulf Coast.
