STATS Group has invested a significant six-figure sum on two advanced machine tools at its Aberdeenshire facility, strengthening in-house manufacturing capability and supporting continued growth across its UK and European operations.

This contract marks fifth pre-commissioning scope for offshore Guyana.

The agreement, signed today at Kongsberg Discovery’s facility in Horten, Norway, was lauded as “a natural partnership”.

EnerMech has been awarded a pipeline pre-commissioning contract by McDermott in support of Shell Trinidad and Tobago’s Manatee gas development. The company will deliver critical services across a 115 km, 32 in. offshore pipeline.

Under the scope of the contract, McDermott will deliver engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for a carbon steel pipeline, along with transportation and installation of key subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) components.

Offshore operations were carried out by the pipelay vessel Castorone, one of Saipem's flagship vessels.

Under the contract, the consortium will design, construct, install and pre-commission the new YT2 36 in. offshore natural gas pipeline, connecting the Yongan LNG terminal with the Tongxiao transfer station.

Through the agreement, Baker Hughes will provide DRAs from its FLO product line to support the transportation of both light and heavy crude from offshore platforms to storage and refining facilities in Texas and Louisiana.
