Transneft Kama Region completes repairs of four oil trunk pipelines

Transneft Kama Region has completed scheduled repairs of the following oil trunk pipelines (OTPs): Almetyevsk-Kuibyshev-1, Karabash-Almetyevsk-Kaleikino, Kaleikino-Nizhnekamsk Refinery and Kiyengop-Naberezhnye Chelny.

During the planned shutdown of the oil trunk pipelines, a process pipelines section at an oil pumping station (PS) was replaced, midlife repairs of 16 gate valves were performed, a newly built tank with the volume of 50 000 m3 was connected and hydraulic tests of a pig trap’s piping were conducted.

In the course of the scheduled works newly constructed sections of the Kiyengop-Naberezhnye Chelny oil trunk pipeline with a total length of 4191 m were connected and tests of the oil leakage detection system were carried out at the Tingovatovo-Vorotynets section.

Employees of the following regional oil pipeline directorates (RPDs) of Transneft Kama Region took part in repairs, which were carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Udmurtian Republic: Almetyevsk RPD, Romashkino RPD, Kazan RPD, Perm RPD and Udmurtia RPD.

The large-scale works were performed within the integrated technical upgrading, revamping, and overhaul programme of Transneft Kama Region, its purpose being to ensure failure-proof operation of oil trunk pipelines.

Oil transportation via Transneft Kama Region's oil trunk pipelines has been resumed on schedule in the normal mode.
