Transneft Diascan inspected over 54 000 km of pipelines in 2017. This figure complies with the company’s inspection plan for 2017.
Inline inspection (ILI) operations were performed using Transneft Diascan’s in-house inspection tools: geometry tools, ultrasound, magnetic, combined magnetic and combined magnetic ultrasound inspection tools, as well as ultrasound tools for multiangle inspection of the pipe wall.
Over 47 600 km of trunklines were inspected in 2017. The major part of these operations was carried out on the trunklines of Transneft East (over 10 700 km), Transneft Siberia (about 8100 km) and Transneft Kama Region (about 5500 km).
Transneft Diascan also performed ILI of 6400 km of petroleum products trunklines in 2017. The main volume of operations was carried out on the sites of Transneft Baltic and Transneft Druzhba, where the inspection tools ran over 2000 km of petroleum products trunklines, and on the petroleum products trunklines of Transneft Upper Volga (over 1100 km). Defects identified in the course of inspection were eliminated during scheduled repair operations.
