With over 23 000 employees worldwide across 70 countries, Applus+ UK has a team of 11 in Aberdeen and a further 420 employees throughout the UK supporting sectors including oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, utilities, nuclear, renewables and aviation.

For the last 10 years, Applus+ successfully entered the new construction market for girth weld inspection with its own developed 3D full matrix capture technology: IWEX. The Portable IWEX system consists of a wide variety of inspections software to be used at various (sometimes hard-to-reach) locations, and can be easily transported from one location to another, which is a huge advantage.

Darren Ghazaleh, Managing Director, Applus+ UK, said: “We were delighted to host our first open day at our Aberdeen facility – the team, our suppliers and I showcased the technologies and solutions we provide our clients to enhance inspection services.

“Being able to have our technical and sales team on-hand to show the solutions we offer the industry, especially during a time when so many organisations need to focus on their environmental performance, was really valuable for all.”

Applus+ UK offers a complete portfolio of solutions for a range of industry challenges, including asset integrity management to statuary compliance-based inspection.
