Transneft Baltic conducts scheduled works at oil trunk pipelines

During a planned 72-hour oil pumping shutdown within the Palkino – Kirishi section of the Palkino – Primorsk oil trunk pipeline in Russia, three slide valves and five gate valves were overhauled at the Palkino oil pumping station.
Midlife repairs of 12 gate valves at the Kirishi line operation dispatcher station (LODS) were carried out within the Kirishi – Primorsk section. At the Yaroslavl-3 – Palkino section of the Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline, the main pump unit was connected at main pump station (MPU) No. 1 of the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station. Also, midlife repairs of four slide valves were carried out on the site.
Within the Gorky – Yaroslavl-3 section, midlife repairs of two slide valves were carried out.
The work was performed as part of Transneft Baltic’s technical upgrading and revamping programme.
Currently, all the facilities are functioning under the normal protocol. Oil transportation was resumed on schedule.
