Iranian delegations visit Transneft Diascan

Delegations from two Iranian companies, National Iranian Gas Transmission Company (NIGTC) and Ziya Oil & Gas Pipeline Inspection (ZOGPI), have visited Transneft Diascan to learn more about its technical capabilities in the field of inline inspection and the development of inspection devices.
The delegation of NIGTC consisted of Saeid Tavakoli, General Director, Mohammed Karkhanekh, Deputy General Director for Pipeline Engineering, and Hossein Abdi, Director of Pipeline Technical Activities Department. ZOGPI was represented by Farkhod Ziaev, General Director, and Dzhamshed Ziaev, Deputy General Director.
Representatives of the Iranian companies visited the key business units of Transneft Diascan to see samples of defectoscopes developed and assembled by the company, exhibited at its inspection facility, including a new-generation device - an ultrasonic defectoscope for multi-angle pipe wall inspection. Representatives of NIGTC and ZOGPI also visited Transneft Diascan’s fluid test facility, testing laboratory, and polyurethane and composite materials shops. The programme also included a visit to the company’s data processing center, where data from digital tools of Transneft Diascan’s inspection devices are decoded and analysed and later used in the production of technical reports and recommendations for customers on the state and further operation of the inspected pipelines.
During the visit, representativess of the Iranian companies, Transneft and Transneft Diascan discussed possible inline inspection projects.
