Pertamina has undertaken a number of spill action programmes of oil spills in Balikpapan Bay. As the timeline previously submitted by Pertamina to the Regional Government and the People’s Representative Assembly (DPR) states, the prevention programmes are carried out in six areas: Jetty area, Semayang to Balikpapan Plaza, Kampung water to Kampung Baru Ulu, Penajam, Teluk Balipapan and Kariangau.
