World Pipelines’ Senior Editor, Elizabeth Corner, talks to Chris Loadman, President of Propipe North America, to discuss the company’s recent article in World Pipelines.
Established in 1998, with headquarters based in the North of England, Propipe designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of pipeline pigs, pipeline plugs and pig tracking equipment for the oil and gas industry.
As President of Propipe North America, Chris is not only responsible for the smooth running of the business, sales, and business development, but is also a key member of the technical engineering team.
In this spotlight session, Elizabeth and Chris review Propipe’s recent article for World Pipelines, entitled ‘Advanced platform for pig tracking’.
The article, which was published in the October 2021 issue of World Pipelines, compares the traditional approach to pig tracking to new technology enabling live remote tracking of pigs over the internet. The article describes real-time tracking of pigging equipment and the online management of pig tracking data.
