Greene’s Energy Group, LLC, a diversified oil service company and provider of integrated testing, rentals and specialty services, has received the American Petroleum Institute (API) Specification Q2 Certification – an advanced industry certification standard for oil and gas service companies – for its flagship operations centre in Lafayette, Louisiana.
API Q2 is a new, risk-based quality management system approach that focuses on supply chain controls, service design, competency, preventive maintenance, contingency planning and service quality plans, inspection activities, equipment repair and maintenance, well construction and servicing and abandonment.
The API Q2 certification requires companies to implement all of the above QMS procedures, post consistent results and work to continuously improve the management system, thus increasing overall customer satisfaction. This certification demonstrates applicant organisations’ commitment to going above and beyond the industry standard of having sound procedures in place to ensure personnel competency, risk assessment, contingency planning and numerous other key QMS practices.
“We are very proud to be among a select group of oilfield service companies in the US to be awarded the new API certification,” said Frank Mathews, President/COO, Greene’s Energy Group. “This certification is consistent with Greene’s Operational Excellence initiative to provide best-in-class quality performance.”
“We believe that our commitment to quality is a key success driver in the industry and is the best way to promote and deliver added value to our customers. This certification proves that Greene’s stands as a strong partner in contributing to the improvement of risk-management to deliver only the highest quality services.”
