Quorum Software, a global software leader dedicated to the energy industry, has announced that Great Basin Gas Transmission Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest Gas Corporation, has selected My Quorum Pipeline Transaction Management to replace its ageing homegrown system with one that offers greater reliability, functionality, and ease of use.

Great Basin is a natural gas company subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Great Basin owns and operates an interstate pipeline system that extends from the Idaho-Nevada border to the Nevada-California border. Great Basin chose My Quorum to modernise its system, particularly pertaining to its customer portal and nomination processing, as well as managing and implementing FERC related mandates. My Quorum will provide Great Basin a modernised, cloud-hosted system that enables streamlined business processes for its pipeline operations and reduces overall risk to their operations.

“As we continually grow, it is critical that we adopt technology that is scalable, flexible, and adaptable to the evolving needs of our business and the industry,” said Raied Stanley, Vice President/CIO at Southwest Gas. “As we embark on modernising our system, we wanted to work with a solutions provider with a proven track record for success and whose software was comprehensive enough to cover our complex, interrelated processes. We’re excited to have finally found that partner in Quorum.”

Key features of My Quorum Pipeline Transaction Management include:

  • Customer portal: Persona-centric, web-based user portal that increases user satisfaction and helps streamline scheduling, contract administration, and accounting functions.
  • Pipeline management: Manage and maximise pipeline capacity, track system and customer balances imbalances, and maintain regulatory compliance with real-time transactional information, that includes Informational Public Website postings.
  • Accurate invoicing: Provide the ability to apply complex and robust rate structures to contractual and transactional information to generate accurate and timely monthly invoices.
  • Measurement: Provide seamless integration to measurement data from industry leading measurement systems.
  • Regulatory compliance: Maintain ongoing regulatory compliance with the industry leading NAESB certified application.

“With the increased demand for natural gas production, pipeline operators are seeking scalable solutions to support their growing operations,” said Tyson Greer, Chief Product Officer, Quorum Software. “We are thrilled that Great Basin has selected Quorum’s leading-edge pipeline transaction management software to replace its legacy system, and are confident it will provide a safe, reliable system they can count on going forward.”
