The Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) welcomes the Government of Canada’s approval of the NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. 2021 System Expansion Project.

This pipeline expansion will provide domestic and US markets with greater access to natural gas from the prolific Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. As our economy recovers, the project will give an important boost to Alberta and Canada’s GDP while creating thousands of high-quality jobs.

Canada has abundant natural gas resources that can help meet the growing global demand for responsible energy. Our energy is safely transported on some of the world’s most technologically advanced pipeline infrastructure built and operated by CEPA members. The 2021 NGTL System Expansion is an important part of how Canadian natural gas producers and shippers will continue to play essential roles in the energy future for Canada and the world.
