Pipe repairs in Morocco

Published by
World Pipelines,

Circle Oil plc has recently announced that it has completed gas pipeline repairs in Morocco. The pipeline was closed while repair work was designed and implemented.

The repair was carried out by Circle without incident, on schedule and slightly under budget. Production through the repaired pipeline was restarted on 15 September 2016.

This pipeline spur in question has been used to transport approximately 30% of the gas produced in the Sebou field, which is owned by Circle Oil Maroc.

As announced previously on 8 August 2016, earth movement near the town of Kenitra, northern Morocco, resulted in the temporary closure of a gas pipeline spur owned by the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines (ONHYM).
