RAVAN AIR – an underground and aerial inspection company – received Underground Construction Technology’s Gas Distribution Project of the Year award for their successful inspections of a natural gas pipeline installation under a creek in Pennsylvania. The team delivered industry leading advanced integrated resources while improving safety, cutting customer costs, improving efficiencies, and preserving the natural surroundings.
“Among the nominations in the Gas Distribution Project of the Year category, [...] only yours is of the highest quality, deserving to be named as a finalist. Therefore, congratulations, your submission has been selected as our consensus winner in the category!” read Underground Construction Technology’s judges’ comments in RAVAN AIR’s award notification letter. The team received the award for their work on the natural gas distribution pipeline in Washington, Pennsylvania.
“We were thrilled to be the only award to receive that kind of distinction,” said Ivan Hershberger, Vice President of Tru-Tek Drilling, RAVAN AIR’s sister company.
“Our crews did an exceptional job with this milestone project,” said RAVAN AIR’s Director of Operations, Mark Sakach. “Along with pre and post-inspection services, we recorded the precise location of the new and existing pipes during installation that will be available for reference during future projects and repairs. We’re really proud of the positive impact this had on the environment and the benefits of reducing potential accidents.”
Category winners were recognised during an awards ceremony in Orlando, Florida, at the Underground Construction Technology International Conference & Exhibition.
