World Pipelines,
On 8 December, South Stream Transport B.V. and Allseas Group S.A. signed a contract in Amsterdam to build the first string of the TurkStream gas pipeline’s offshore section, with an option for laying the second string.
According to the contract, Allseas will lay more than 900 km of pipes across the seabed. To that end, the company plans to use the newly-launched Pioneering Spirit, the world’s largest construction vessel equipped with six welding stations and six coating stations.
Allseas will start building the first string of the pipeline in the second half of 2017.

Construction begins on Greensand’s carbon dioxide transit terminal at Port Esbjerg
When the tanks are full, the liquefied carbon dioxide will be loaded onto a dedicated carrier from Royal Wagenborg and shipped to the INEOS Nini platform in the Danish North Sea. From there, it will be safely injected via pipeline into subsurface reservoirs approximately 1800 m beneath the seabed for permanent storage.
