Trans Mountain’s commitment to safety

In 2022, we will see peak construction of the Expansion Project with more than 10 000 people working across Alberta and British Columbia. This year will present new challenges and require us to continue to adapt. We remain steadfastly committed and focused on achieving the highest standard of worker safety, as well as timely and efficient completion of the Project.

In January, we reinforced our commitment to safety through Safe Start sessions. These sessions were designed to help teams in the field focus on safety, recognise contributions, celebrate achievements and set expectations for the busy year ahead.

As we look ahead, we are encouraging all workers to make safety a personal matter. Safety doesn’t rest solely with the safety team, and it’s not only protocols, procedures and processes that will ensure the safety of our teams and individuals.

It’s the commitment by each one of us to identify and act upon hazards, to look out for each other, to stop unsafe work, to ensure worksites are safe and to think every day about the people in our lives that count on us to work safely and to come home safe at the end of every day.
