Rosenxt expands subsea inspection capabilities to support confident integrity decisions

Subsea assets operate in demanding environments where integrity can be difficult to establish, and decisions can carry long-term consequences. For operators, inspection is not simply about collecting information below the waterline. It is about gaining the insight needed to manage integrity, plan interventions, and make confident decisions throughout an asset’s life.

Every subsea inspection programme begins with a question. An operator may need to understand current asset conditions, investigate a potential change, support an integrity assessment or plan an intervention.

Rosenxt works with customers to define the information required, then develops an inspection plan around that need. The aim is to provide accurate, repeatable information that can be interpreted and compared over time, rather than generating data that is difficult to use.

The new offering combines remotely operated and autonomous underwater inspection capabilities with data interpretation to support the assessment of subsea structures, pipelines, cables and their surrounding environments.

Depending on the asset and inspection requirement, services can include visual inspection, repeatable three-dimensional reconstruction, cathodic protection and wall-thickness measurement, as well as pipeline and cable route assessment, depth-of-burial assessment and seabed survey.

Inspection data can help identify changes in asset condition, scour, free spans, debris and other hazards requiring further assessment. By tailoring each inspection scope to the asset and the integrity question at hand, Rosenxt aims to provide the condition information operators need to prioritise further assessment, plan interventions and manage asset life.
