New Dräger escape hood series

Dräger has launched a re-engineered escape hood portfolio, the Parat series.

The new hoods are designed to protect oil and gas industry users from toxic industrial and fire related gases, vapours and particles for at least 15 minutes.

All hoods have a protective seal on the opening of the packaging, indicating whether it has been opened. The filter is sealed tightly with two filter plugs and once the packaging is opened, the filter plugs are automatically released and the hood is ready for use.

Filters have a service life of eight years and the hoods have a total service life of 16 years if the filter is replaced.

The Parat series escape hoods are available in three versions:

Industrial escape hood Parat 4700

  • ABEK filter protects against toxic industrial gases, vapours and particles.
  • Approved in accordance with DIN 58647-7 for filtering escape devices. Additionally tested according to EN 14387:2004 for gas and combination filters.
  • Available in hard case or soft pack version.

Fire escape hood Parat 5500

  • Protects the user against fumes, vapours and particles with a CO P2 filter.
  • Approved in accordance with EN 403:2004 and additionally tested for use against H2S (at a conc. 2500 ppm) according to DIN 58647-7.
  • Available in hard case, soft pack, or single pack version.

Fire and industrial escape hood Parat 7500

  • Protects the user against toxic and fire related gases, vapours and particles with ABEK CO P3 filter.
  • Approved in accordance with EN 403:2004 for fire escape hoods and DIN 58647-7 for filtering escape devices.
  • Tested according to EN 14387-2004 for gas and combination filters.
  • Available in hard case or soft pack version.
