IntelliView Technologies Inc. has announced that it is set to unveil its latest product at the 2016 International Pipeline Exposition (IPE).
The company will launch its new dual camera analytic module (DCAM™), which is an intelligent and integrated system, designed to automatically detect progressing above-ground oil – and other liquid – leaks, as well as perimeter intrusion in industrial settings. The DCAM does not need ambient lighting, separate hardware and imaging sensors.
The DCAM detection mechanism consists of two high quality imagers (thermal and low light performance optical/color), advanced video analytics and image processing technologies. Together, these deliver accurate detection and low false alarm rates.
The system has real time alarm and email notifications, with image/video evidence of user-defined events. 24/7 web access to live feeds, alarms and settings ensures that users are armed with all of the critical field information required for rapid decision making and situation control.
Built-in features include onboard storage for edge recording, an adaptive climate control cooler and heater duet, and wireless connectivity (with Ethernet option). Available with either a 13 mm or 25 mm thermal lens, the camera module is compact and weatherproof. It can be easily integrated onto existing infrastructure in various field scenarios. The technology is also deployable in other oil and gas surveillance applications and wildlife monitoring.
“We are delighted that IntelliView has been able to bring the DCAM to market at this time”, said Larry Stark, Senior Vice President of Oil and Gas Applications at Schneider Electric.
“Our objective is to provide OASyS pipeline customers leak detection technology that sets the industry standard in terms of performance and scope, both above and below the ground. IntelliView’s DCAM strengthens our position in meeting this goal” Stark added.
