T.D. Williamson pipeline closure meets more specs

Global pipeline solutions provider T.D. Williamson (TDW) has announced that its D2000 quick-actuating pipeline closure now satisfies a broader range of applications, meets more codes and is available with a shorter lead time.
As part of the integrated pigging solutions from TDW, the D2000 closure makes it easier and safer for operators to run any pigging or integrity program to optimise product flow and reduce downtime. It is the leading closure on the market.
Troy Geren, Senior Product Manager, Pigging Products, said TDW is now manufacturing the D2000 with what the company is calling the ProSeries™ Advantage. That means it continues to have all the features the market trusts but has been standardised to fit a wider range of sizes, applications and technical specifications.
“The D2000 retains the appearance, functionality and emphasis on safety and efficiency operators know and trust. But through standardisation, it now meets more requirements,” Geren said. “In addition, we’ve been able to shorten the lead time and reduced the need for costly customisations, while assuring safe, code compliant performance.”
The D2000 can be opened or closed in a single motion while the operator stands safely to the side. Because it requires minimal tools and fewer personnel, it takes less time to operate the D2000.
