A clip to tag pipe and tube products
Published by Lydia Woellwarth,
InfoSight Corporation is a world leader in traceability in harsh environments and has created a simple method of attaching metal tags to pipe or tube. InfoSight’s durable tags can now be attached to tube or pipe products without welding or otherwise compromising their integrity. The unique design attaches the metal tag securely to the product in seconds.
InfoSight Metal Tags are designed to survive many harsh environments, including high temperatures, acids, and hot dips. Tagging provides an immediate, easy and flexible means of identifying products. Tags are normally attached with wires, bands, or by welding them to the product. These are often unsuitable for pipe and tube products, as these methods are either not secure on a pipe or would cause damage. The Pipe Clip is a solution.
The Pipe Clip is a robust clip made from heavy gauge wire. A tab on the clip inserts into an opening in the tag to secure the tag to the clip. Bent points on the back side of the clip grip the pipe to prevent slipping. The Pipe Clip tightly presses the metal tag to the surface of the product to avoid peeling. Products can be moved, stacked and processed normally and the tag will not tear or detach.
Pipe Clips are offered in various widths to accommodate various wall thicknesses.
InfoSight has always been committed to providing identification and traceability in the most difficult circumstances.
