Miller Electric introduces two TIG welding solutions

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has added two new models to its lineup of TIG welding solutions, namely the Dynasty 400 and the Maxstar 400. The two new welders deliver up to 400 amps of output power with enhanced TIG and stick welding performance for use in applications such as pipe and tube fabrication, precision fabrication and exotic material fabrication.

The Dynasty 400 model has advanced and will replace Miller Electric’s Dynasty 350 model. The power source is AC/DC TIG stick capable and welds of up to 5 - 8 in. thick aluminum and steel in a single pass.

The DC TIG stick capable Maxstar 400, which is set to replace the Maxstar 350 model, welds up to 5 - 8 in. thick steel in a single pass.

Each of the stand-alone power sources also includes the Cooler-On-DemandTM feature, which only operates the auxiliary cooling system when required. As a result, noise and energy use are reduced, and airborne contaminants are pulled through the cooler. In addition, the added Pro-SetTM feature eliminates guesswork when setting weld parameters. Therefore, the machine is faster to set up and easier to use.

Designed for fast and easy upgrade flexibility, the new models include a front panel memory card data port so that software updates can be downloaded and expansions can be purchased.

As with previous Dynasty and Maxstar power sources, the new models are fully compatible with Miller’s wireless remote control solutions. Thus, welding operators can work more safely and faster, up to 300 ft away from the power source. Eliminating the cord prevents tangles or failures and helps increase time and money savings.

Auto-LineTM power management technology is convent as it allows the machines to connect to almost any type of available input power and produce a steady, high quality arc. Welding operators can maintain a steady welding output for consistently high quality welds. The Dynasty 400 also features improved arc stability and performance, resulting in smoother welds.

“The powerful, efficient Dynasty 400 and Maxstar 400 deliver superior arc performance and the high quality and reliability that Miller is known for so welding operators can complete a wide variety of jobs,” said Andrew Pfaller, TIG Product Manager for Miller Electric Mfg. Co.
