For the third consecutive year, Columbia Pipeline Group (CPG) has earned the American Gas Association’s (AGA) Safety Achievement Award for outstanding employee safety performance. CPG representatives accepted the award at the AGA’s recent Operations Conference, held in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Safety Achievement Awards are significant as they recognise AGA member companies for having the lowest injury rate for companies of their industry. CPG has now claimed the award for each of the last three years (2013, 2014, 2015).
"The AGA Safety Achievement Award affirms our extensive efforts to ensure a culture of safety, as well as the personal commitment to safety displayed by the CPG team," said CPG Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Shawn Patterson. "Our work isn’t done. We will continue to have safety at the forefront of everything we do to ensure our employees return home to their families and loved ones while ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas.”
