Subsea resourcing specialist DRIFT Offshore, which provides people and expert support services for projects internationally, has entered a partnership with Norwegian ROV specialist Kystdesign to strengthen the service offering of both businesses.
The collaboration aims to enhance both companies’ service offerings by focusing on specialist pilot training for Kystdesign’s advanced ROV systems, addressing critical skills and training needs in the subsea industry.
DRIFT Offshore's experienced personnel, recognised for their expertise in underwater robotics, have been certified as official ROV pilot training partners for Kystdesign’s systems. This enables DRIFT Offshore to deliver comprehensive training on Kystdesign ROVs, as well as provide expert maintenance support and facilitate product sales globally.
The partnership further extends DRIFT Offshore's subsea training capabilities and adds a new dimension to Kystdesign's service provision to customers.
DRIFT Offshore Co-founder and Managing Director, Meghan Bowers, says: "Technical training is a key component of our service offering. Kystdesign has an established reputation for designing and delivering high performing ROV vehicles and we look forward to working together on the global opportunities this partnership presents."
Kyle Pitman, Co-founder and President – Americas at DRIFT Offshore, adds: “Addressing the industry’s shortage of skilled subsea personnel is a priority for us. This partnership provides a fresh avenue to bring trained professionals into the global subsea sector, ensuring safe, efficient and successful project delivery.”
Olafur Gislason, Sales & Business Development Manager with Kystdesign, says: "DRIFT Offshore is recognised as a leading player across multiple areas of subsea support services and we're pleased to be working with its team of professionals – not only in terms of ROV training but as a broader initiative.
"The collaboration creates a platform for both businesses to enhance the profile of our respective products and services – as well as our combined offering – in the wider market."
