World Pipelines,

Fotech Solutions will be showcasing its LivePIPE monitoring pipeline solution at the International Oil & Gas Security (OGS) Conference at London's Kia Oval.

Fotech will be demonstrating how LivePIPE adds a new layer of intelligence to pipeline security operations, enabling operators to anticipate, pinpoint and respond to potential threats with far great accuracy than ever before.

Fotech Solutions, the linear asset monitoring technology expert, will be exhibiting at the International Oil & Gas Security (OGS) Conference, 11 - 12 May 2016 at London’s Kia Oval. Fotech will be showcasing how its LivePIPE® pipeline monitoring solution can significantly enhance pipeline operators' security and safety operations.

LivePIPE harnesses Fotech’s DAS technology to give operators continuous and real time visibility of threats along the entire length of a pipeline. This enhanced visibility gives operators the information they need to anticipate, pinpoint and respond to potential threats with far greater accuracy, speed and reliability than ever before regardless of terrain or remoteness. In this way, LivePIPE technology is a major new strategic ally for operators, helping them to strengthen their pipeline security procedures, even in the most hostile regions.

“Pipelines are at risk of numerous threats, but the oil & gas industry has faced an increasingly dangerous threat from terrorism over the past decade and it is continuing to intensify, predominantly in the Middle East. Hostile regions present an extremely challenging environment for pipeline security due to the increased risks for security personnel and the potential damage that can be caused if a threat is missed,” commented Stuart Large, Sales and Product Line Director, Fotech Solutions. “In light of the growing concern, there is a renewed focus on the protection of pipelines. Systems such as Fotech’s LivePIPE pipeline monitoring solution are major value-adds for operators that can increase confidence that potential threats won’t be missed and help maintain the security and profitability of new projects and existing assets.”

The International OGS event brings together IRN’s global network of security contacts in one global conference and exhibition to address emerging security concerns for the oil and gas industry. The conference will discuss new methods, technologies and emerging threats so as to be sure the strategies operators put in place are as strong as possible and are tailored to the specific security concerns facing high risk regions.
