RPM International Inc. (Carboline’s parent company) has recently announced the acquisition of Specialty Polymer Coatings, Inc. (SPC), a Canadian manufacturer of high-performance coatings for the global oil and gas pipeline market.
Under this new agreement, SPC will operate as a free-standing business within the RPM Performance Coatings Group.
The acquisition will allow Carboline and SPC to enhance their customer service through a combination of technology and service locations. SPC will extend its service model through Carboline’s large global sales force and numerous distribution locations to better reach customers.
SPC’s Vice President, US, Tracy Menard, commented: “Working with Carboline provides us access to more product technology, testing, research and development, and service resources that will benefit our customers for years to come.”
“SPC's current operating management team is excited about being part of the Carboline group and the opportunity to continue to expand our global reach,” said SPC President, Rob Alliston.
