Subsea Innovation secures contracts for pipe-in-pipe technology

Over the past six months, Subsea Innovation, a global leader in the design and build of bespoke equipment for the offshore energy sector, has secured four new contracts to supply SIStop® Waterstop Seals to two leading contractors.

Two of the contracts will include the supply of Subsea Innovation’s next generation seal design, which was designed using Subsea Innovations’ many years of experience to deal with issues experienced when using high-frequency welded (HFW) pipes and seam welded pipes which have been introduced within the industry as part of cost-saving measures. This taking the number of live projects that Subsea Innovation has supplied with next-generation seals to eight projects globally, establishing Subsea Innovation as the leading manufacturer of Waterstops on both seamless and welded pipelines.

The Waterstops are designed and tested at Subsea Innovation’s state-of-the-art facility in Darlington, UK, and will be delivered in 2020 for projects around the world including the Gulf of Mexico.

David Thompson, Managing Director at Subsea Innovation, said “we are delighted to secure the orders from our valued customers who recognise the hard work and quality of product our team provides. This also confirms the global demand for our field-proven Waterstop seals, whilst further establishing Subsea Innovation as the market-leading supplier of pipe-in-pipe Waterstops”.
