The work will be performed at the Shell operated BC-10 field in the fourth quarter of 2015 from the DP III M/V Grand Canyon I, utilising the T-1200 Deepwater Trenching System.
Canyon comments
Ian Edmondstone, President of Canyon, said: “we are very pleased that Shell as operator of BC 10 has awarded this work to Canyon. Shell and Canyon have a long history of developing and utilising Pipeline Burial Trenching as a flow assurance enhancement tool, and we have performed numerous projects together in the past using this successful technology. This will be the deepest pipeline trenching project ever performed offshore Brazil, and the vessel Grand Canyon I deploying T-1200 is the perfect set of tools for the job.”
