Six new hires for Quanta

Paul Henderson takes up the role of Lead Process Engineer after returning from a 13.5-year stint in the Middle East where he was Head of Production at ORYX GTL, one of Qatar’s leading natural gas to liquid production facilities, which produces 35 000 bpd of diesel, naphtha, and LPG products. A chemical engineering graduate and Chartered Engineer, Paul has operational and senior management experience of a wide range of technologies and will be responsible for managing the engineering process, including the initial mapping out of projects, resource planning, feasibility, and manpower requirements.

Six new hires for Quanta

Chartered Engineer, Chris Cowperthwaite joins as Senior Instrument Engineer, bringing more than 30 years’ experience in designing and building instrumentation systems. Chris will be responsible for specifying and delivering instrumentation systems using the latest technology for onshore and offshore projects, including hazardous areas and potentially explosive atmospheres.

Brazilian-born Giuliano Chiminelli is Quanta’s new Lead Planner, who will work with clients to develop robust engineering project plans, ensuring these are on-time and on-budget. Giuliano has a wealth of experience in oil and gas having worked in the sector for more than a decade helping to plan, cost, and resource both small and large-scale oil and gas projects across the globe for companies such as KAEFER, Amal and MGT Consortium.

New Construction Engineer, Alistair Price has worked in the offshore and onshore sectors for more than 20 years, most recently as construction supervisor for engineering specialists, IHC, at the Port of Blyth. He will be responsible for managing the delivery of all client construction projects at Quanta.

Peter Butler has been appointed Lead Pipe Stress Engineer to ensure all client pipework systems are designed in accordance with the highest international standards. A mechanical engineering graduate, Peter has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 30 years and has provided engineering support to Quanta for over a decade.

Jo Scheib will take up the role of Project and Logistics co-ordinator to provide administrative support to Quanta’s project and engineering teams. Jo joins Quanta from civil engineering and construction firm, Careys, where she was office manager for six years and before that worked for oil and gas giant, Total, in a customer service role for 13 years.
