Chu Kong Petroleum to supply 10 000 t steel pipes to Sinopec

Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe Holdings Ltd, the largest manufacturer and exporter of longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipes in China, has announced that the Group has won two bids from China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec). The Group will supply approximately 10 000 t of steel pipes for its natural gas project in Tianjin. The steel pipes are to be delivered in 2016.
Mr. Chen Chang, Chairman of the Group, remarked: “The construction kick off of the Sinopec’s Tianjin natural gas project is a sign that the nation is very keen to promote the development of clean energy. It is expected that the demand of steel pipes will become strong, supported by upcoming national gas projects and the “13th Five-Year Plan” that more energy and infrastructure projects to be launched. The sentiment of the steel pipe industry seems promising. With our advanced technology and our long established track record, reputation and market position as a high-quality steel pipe manufacturer, we will capture the industry opportunities to develop our steel pipe business in both China and overseas markets.”
