Technip has received an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the D18 Project. The contract comes as part of the five year framework agreement signed with PETRONAS in 2014.

The project covers the procurement and installation of two 8 in. water injection flexible pipes, totalling 9.5 km, which will connect three fixed jacket platforms that form the existing D18 infrastructure offshore Sarawak, Malaysia. The project is expected to be completed by late 2015.

“This is the first work order awarded under the five year framework agreement signed with PETRONAS. We are pleased to be able to leverage our unique subsea vertical integration of production design, manufacturing and installation vessel to offer a cost effective solution to our client by using flexible pipe technology,” commented KK Lim, President of Technip in Asia Pacific.
