Laurini Officine Meccaniche will participate again this year in the annual Convention of IPLOCA, International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association, to be held from 12 – 16 September at the Le Méridien Etoile hotel, a few steps from the famous Champs Elysées in Paris.

This worldwide meeting celebrates its 50th annual anniversary, and gathers the leaders of the industry with the aim of strengthening the community and creating a network of companies, a forum to discuss matters at hand and business opportunities. During the five days of the meeting, the participants will be in an environment full of initiatives, among which a series of work sessions, technical presentations, guided visits and social events. The main themes on the agenda will be the onshore and offshore market opportunities, new applicable technologies, health and safety of people and the environment.

With more than 260 members coming from all over the world, including onshore international key players, the offshore contractors and significant subcontractors, IPLOCA is constantlyengaged in the promotion of co-operative relationships among the members of the association, presenting meeting opportunities and exchanges, such as the 2016 Paris Convention.

“This will be the twentieth convention that sees our presence. Indeed, we became IPLOCA members in 1996, after we built and sold the first two GRUB machines,” said Marco Laurini,President of Laurini Officine Meccaniche. “I can definitely say that for us this has been an incredibly effective launch pad towards internationalisation. This association gathers the industry players from all five continents. It did not take ?much' for us to be known and seen in this environment, especially thanks to the innovative features of our machines. I was 35 years old when I attended my first Forum and, maybe due to kindness or good spirit, I've gotten in the good graces of many entrepreneurs and top managers, who helped me by introducing me to other important people. And afterwards I continued to invest, initially by sponsoring in a small way, then a ‘giant’ leap forward came in 2010, when we sponsored the fireworks display on the Venice lagoon, after the Caterpillar dinner at the end of the Convention. It was a great success and from then on I've become the ‘fireworks man’ and sales shot,” concluded Marco Laurini.

This year Laurini Officine Meccaniche will organise and sponsor the show after the Caterpillar Dinner Party, to be held in the evening of Thursday 15 September as part of the 2016 Convention.
