SLR opens Aberdeen office to support oil and gas growth

World Pipelines,

Leading environmental firm, SLR Consulting has opened an Aberdeen office in response to increasing demand for its services from the oil and gas sector.

The new city centre offices in Union Street will provide an excellent base for developing and executing projects for oil and gas clients in the North Sea and beyond.

SLR provides strategic, operational and environmental services for all stages of the oil and gas value chain; from exploration and production, through to markets across the globe, including the unconventional gas sector.

Each of the company's service lines is underpinned by deep discipline specific knowledge including, for example, acoustics, air quality monitoring and waste treatment technology.

Director Stuart Metcalf said, "This Aberdeen office will allow us to be more responsive to client needs and help us to broaden the range of services we can provide, particularly to the upstream market. It will also provide a base from which we can further develop our marine capabilities for offshore projects.”

In addition to SLR’s broader strategic support, our services will be predominantly in three key areas:

  • EIA, permitting and monitoring, (both onshore and offshore).
  • Oil spill contingency planning.
  • Oilfield waste management (including decommissioning).

Across all three fields, SLR brings a refreshing new approach founded on its provision of wide-ranging services to the industry from Alaska to Australia.
