SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN will not be held in 2021. The new date for the international trade fair for joining, cutting and coating is 11 – 15 September 2023.
"SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN gathers trade visitors from over 120 countries," says Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen. "In view of the current travel restrictions, we will not be able to live up to the claim of a leading world trade fair this year. Added to this is the lead time of several months for our exhibitors, who present complex high-tech plants on elaborately designed trade fair stands. At present, we cannot offer our customers the necessary planning security. With the new trade fair date in 2023, we are fulfilling the industry's justified expectations of a world-leading trade fair worthy of the name."
Although the trade fair cannot take place in its usual form this September, the Summit SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN is planned as a presence event at Messe Essen and will offer professional added value on three pillars from 14 - 17 September 2021.
The scientific focus will be placed on the DVS CONGRESS and the Große Schweißtechnische Tagung as well as the DVS CAMPUS. At the same time, four DVS committees will come together for their meetings at Messe Essen. The conference programme will be rounded off with an accompanying exhibition.
