Vallourec inaugurates office in the Middle East

The new regional office in Jebel Ali, Dubai, now brings together the commercial and corporate teams for the region under one roof.

During the inauguration, Edouard Guinotte, SVP Middle East & Asia congratulated the teams: “I am really pleased to see our commercial and corporate teams together now in our new office. I'm sure that this will improve synergies, facilitate exchanges and lead to greater co-ordination.”

Bertrand de Rotalier, General Manager, Vallourec Middle East, added: “We are now able to serve our customers with our full range of products and services from one central location. This makes life easier for our customers and will enable us to be more responsive, which is essential to compete in such a dynamic market.”

Vallourec Middle East now has around 280 employees based in three main locations; with 200 employees at the finishing mill in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, 60 employees in the new Jafza One office in Jebel Ali, Dubai and 20 employees at the VAM^® Field Service office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Middle East region offers the full range of products and services for oil and gas customers including OCTG, accessories, field service, line pipe and process, co-ordinating supply from China, Brazil and Europe. VSA, the finishing mill in Dammam, provides local heat treatment and threading facilities for the World's biggest oil producer and one of the region's largest customers, Saudi Aramco.
