The ROSEN Group, headquartered in Stans (Switzerland), will once again play an active role as premium elite sponsor at the 29th International Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management Conference and Exhibition from 27 February - 2 March at the George R. Brown Convention Center & Marriott Marquis Hotel in Houston, Texas.
The company will not only be participating heavily in the conference element of the show, but will also showcase the latest developments, solutions, and services in asset care. Highlights include the introduction of three new services in the fields of cleaning and engineering assessment.
Understanding the importance of pre and post-inspection measures for sustainable, safe, efficient, and reliable operation, the ROSEN Group is proud to announce the unveiling of three new solutions at this year’s PPIM. The topics for the 2017 conference will also expand on integrity assessment with a special focus on crack assessment, corrosion growth assessment, and material property verification.
Cleaning EcoSpeed Service
A pipeline’s performance can be hindered significantly by the reduction of the internal diameter. The optimal speed for ideal cleaning performance is below 5 m/sec.. As high velocity gas pipelines transport medium at approximately 8 m/sec., this becomes a challenge. The tools used for the ROSEN Cleaning EcoSpeed Service are equipped with a unique speed reduction valve that enables them to slow down to speeds of typically between 3 - 5 m/sec. while maintaining regular gas flow. This ensures optimal cleaning without necessitating a corresponding reduction in product throughput.
Cleaning Analytic Service
During a cleaning run, no data is typically captured regarding the type, volume, or nature of debris removed during the process. This means operators are missing tangible information regarding their pipeline conditions. In order to ensure confidence in both the cleaning programme and pipe conditions, ROSEN is introducing the Cleaning Analytic Service. Various packages allow for a more proactive approach to maintenance by collecting valuable data during the cleaning programme and cataloguing it for future use.
Corrosion growth assessments (CGAs) locate, identify the cause, and quantify the rate of corrosion activity in a pipeline. ROSEN’s expert corrosion engineers analyse the corrosion processes and the credibility of corrosion rates calculated from inspection data. CGApro prepares operators with details of how corrosion has developed over time, thus significantly increasing operators’ confidence in the future integrity of their pipeline.
Showcasing new and proven solutions, along with the corresponding expertise, the ROSEN Group will be exhibiting at booth #707.
