Cape awarded project extension with Chiyoda-JGC

Cape plc, an international provider of essential support services to the energy and natural resources sectors, has announced a contract extension between Cape PNG Ltd. and Chiyoda-JGC Joint Venture (CJJV) worth US$ 2 million associated with the provision of supervision, pipefitting, rigging, crane operations, administration, general tools and equipment rental for the PNG LNG Project.

The PNG LNG Project is an integrated development that includes gas production and processing facilities, onshore and offshore pipelines and liquefaction facilities.

Participating interests include Esso Highlands as operator (33.2%), Oil Search Limited (29%), the National Petroleum Company of PNG (PNG Government, 16.6%), Santos Limited (13.5%), JX Nippon Oil and Gas Exploration (4.7%), Mineral Resources Development Company (PNG landowners, 2.8%) and Petromin PNG Holdings Limited (0.2%).

“The Cape Group of companies has a well-established track record over 25 years for undertaking major projects with both Chiyoda and JGC so it is pleasing that we continue to be a preferred contractor of choice and further strengthen our long standing relationship with this valued customer.
