World Pipelines,
Exova has won a contract with Tata Steel to deliver bespoke in-house testing over the next three years.
The deal is worth over £1.4 million. Exova will provide mechanical, metallurgical, chemical and corrosion testing, as well as non-destructive testing on-site at Tata Steel’s facility in Deeside, Wales. The work being undertaken as part of this agreement is performed according to Tata Steel’s specialist requirements, and is the extension of a relationship between Exova and Tata Steel that stretches back over 10 years.
Rona Lorimer, ?General Manager at Exova’s Salford laboratory, said: “We have had a long working partnership with Tata Steel and this means we understand its emphasis on the highest quality standards, and we are well-versed in the specific requirements it has for its testing programme. It’s the close working relationship with Tata Steel’s technical team that that helps us to meet these high standards, while also improving overall efficiency and turnaround.”
