Starting on 21 September 2015, shippers wanting to buy transmission capacity on the interconnection points of IUK can register on the PRISMA European Capacity Platform. Registration on the PRISMA platform and confirmation of the Transmission System Operator are necessary steps in order to take part in future capacity auctions.
IUK will start auctioning capacity on PRISMA on 1 November 2015. Darren Reeve, Commercial Director of IUK said: “We are pleased to be using the PRISMA platform for the booking of capacity at its interconnection points at Bacton and Zeebrugge from 1 November. This is an important next step in implementing network codes and allows IUK to offer further capacity products to the European market.”
