Industry body, Subsea UK, is to bring subsea supply chain companies in Great Yarmouth together in the first networking event of its kind in the region on the 29th June 2016.

The event will focus on underwater activity in the oil and gas, defence, oceanology and marine renewables industries and will allow delegates to identify opportunities and debate the challenges facing the subsea sector.

The evening session will see key speakers from event sponsors Scientific Management Associates, TechSafe, Applied Acoustics, Proeon Systems Ltd, Pipeshield and Nylacast, who will demonstrate how they are adapting their business models for the current market to ensure they are fit for the future.

Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “The Norfolk region is fast becoming a hub for the subsea sector and we hope that these kind of events will provide a platform for companies operating in the sector to come together and identify and exploit opportunities whilst sharing best practice.

“Our aim at Subsea UK is to help organisations work towards a common goal, especially during times of market uncertainty like we are seeing now.”

The event is supported by East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), a non-profit business-led group committed to the sustained development of the energy sector in the East of England.
