ROSEN promotes corrosion expert to develop UK and Irish asset integrity business

World Pipelines,

ROSEN (UK) has promoted senior corrosion engineer, and chair of the Young Pipeline Professional Europe, Marguerite Forde, to Integrity Solutions Specialist and Sales Manager, focusing on the UK and Ireland. The role will play an integral part in growing the business’s integrity service offering both on and offshore.

Marguerite brings with her a decade of corrosion engineering experience and has worked for ROSEN (previously MACAW Engineering) since 2011. Her experience and expertise in internal and external corrosion consultancy, as well as wider operator and service provider asset care requirements, will allow customers to access the right knowledge and understanding for their unique integrity solutions.

Ms Forde’s role will be supported by ROSEN’s Aberdeen Consultancy team, Newcastle-based engineering team of 150 people and its Brunswick research, test and development facility.

Speaking of her appointment, Marguerite said: “I wanted to take a more active role in developing solutions for clients and an internal opportunity arose to do that. I worked closely with Marc Pages, who was in this role before retiring last year, and knew it was the sort of position that I could sink my teeth into.”

“A significant amount of asset integrity issues are associated with corrosion, so it makes sense to have someone who knows and understands corrosion engineering and consultancy working directly with the client. I am supported by fantastic teams of incredibly qualified and talented engineers both in the UK and the wider ROSEN business globally. This is a challenge I’m looking forward to.”

Paul Birkinshaw, Business Development Manager UK, told us: “We’re delighted to have Marguerite moving into a new role to support the growth of ROSEN’s business in the UK and Ireland. Her expertise will be invaluable to clients, developing high-quality and unique solutions to asset integrity issues.”

Marguerite is also a founding member of the Young Pipeline Professionals Europe (YPPE) and was recently elected to Chair of the organisation. YPPE is a group of young professionals working within the pipeline industry that aims to promote knowledge sharing and ensure the longevity of the industry, including addressing the skills shortage and developing the next generation.
