Tech company Brainnwave makes senior appointment

Derek Burgess brings over 10 years of experience in sales and business development to the Edinburgh-based company. He joins from DigitalGlobe, and prior to working in sales and business development, was an engineer and data analyst. At Brainnwave, his focus will be on expanding the company’s work with global businesses across the oil and gas, mining, utilities and housing sectors.

Brainnwave’s champion product, Ossian, is a tool for businesses that blends proprietary customer data with relevant open data sources and visualises and simplifies the outputs. It harnesses complex information and makes it useful so that businesses can make informed, strategic decisions.
