Transneft Diascan and Sonatrach discuss in-line inspection projects

Transneft Diascan has held a meeting with representatives of Sonatrach (the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria) at the company’s production facility in Lukhovitsy (Moscow Region). The Algerian company was represented by Oulhadj Abdelkader, Acting Pipeline Transportation Facility Maintenance Director, Abderzak Mekhmoukh, Pipeline Recovery and Servicing Section Director, and Karima Adjliani, Pipeline Transportation Legal Director.
The parties discussed specific in-line inspection (ILI) projects to be implemented by Transneft Diascan’s professionals at the Algerian company’s facilities as well as composite collar repair of pipelines in Algeria. The guests were shown a composite materials production shop, where they learned about composite collar repair principles and all the stages of repair materials kits manufacturing.
The meeting took place in the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by Transneft and Sonatrach National Company for Exploration, Production, Transportation, Processing and Sale of Hydrocarbons (Algeria) in October 2017 during the visit of the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Algeria.
