NEB: continued engagement in Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The National Energy Board (NEB) met with the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, as part of its continued commitment to public engagement and pipeline safety.
Meeting with municipal organisations such as the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges help the NEB gain a more thorough understanding of the unique perspectives and challenges faced at the regional level.
It also provides an opportunity to share information on the NEB mandate and role as Canada’s federal energy regulator. Occurring outside of the hearing process and not specific to any project, this discussion will add to the reflections and conversations taking place through the NEB’s National Engagement Initiative.
The NEB has regulatory oversight through the entire lifespan of a project – from project proposal to construction and operation and through to the end of its use. We work alongside communities with the goal of making energy infrastructure the very safest it can be. Engagement activities will continue to be an area of focus for the NEB.
