World Pipelines,
Brazilian plants Jeceaba and Barreiro were presented with the “Globally Qualified Supplier Certificate” by TechnipFMC.
Recently, Project Line Pipe's Industrialisation Manager, Dr. Vicente Trindade, met with Dr. Javad Safari, Principal Engineer at TechnipFMC – a global leader in subsea, onshore, offshore, and surface technologies – in London. He was proudly presented with the ‘Globally Qualified Supplier Certificate’ for both Vallourec's Brazilian Plants:
- Jeceaba, an industrial site which performs all types of API and premium threading types, in particular the VAM® product range.
- Barreiro, which provides tubular products for very deepwater projects, notably the pre-salt fields.
This certification was obtained after long qualification processes, documentation reviews and in-depth audits, and will help the group's premium quality reputation gain more visibility.
With oil and gas projects becoming more and more complex, supplier evaluation is very important and Vallourec's clients have in place rigorous supplier evaluation processes. The benefits of choosing an approved supplier mitigate against poor selection hence the importance of the "Globally Qualified Supplier Certificate".
