World Pipelines,
Enagás has successfully completed a capital increase of €500 million, through the issuance of 23 255 814 shares at an issue price of €21.50/share. This means a discount of only 1.47%.
This capital increase has been carried out in record time, through a procedure of accelerated private placement of shares excluding the pre-emptive subscription right. Investor demand has exceeded several times the supply of new shares, which has shown the great interest of the market.
Enagás will allocate this capital increase to the financing of the increase in its participation in the US energy company Tallgrass Energy, announced this week, which will mean an outlay of US$836 million for the company.
The increase in the number of shares, as a result of this expansion, does not alter Enagás' commitment to all its shareholders as to the dividend per share. This commitment was established in the strategic update of the company, carried out in March this year, and establishes a dividend growth to €1.74/share in 2023.
The success of this expansion demonstrates the market's confidence in the company's strength, as well as its support for the operation in the US in particular and the international growth strategy in general.
