Linear asset monitoring technology specialist, Fotech Solutions has conformed that it will be exhibiting at the International Pipeline Exposition between 27 and 29 September 2016.

The International Pipeline Exposition will bring industry experts, government regulators and the general public together to discuss the future of the pipeline industry.

Fotech will showcase its LivePIPE monitoring solution and how it provides operators with the necessary information to anticipate, pinpoint and respond to malicious attacks, accidental damage caused by industrial activity and potential leak incidents with accuracy, speed and reliability.

The LivePIPE solution, using Fotech’s DAS technology, connects directly into an operator’s fibre optic network, converting a standard optical fibre, which is attached or adjacent to the pipeline, into tens of thousands of highly sensitive vibrational sensors. When vibrations disturb the fibre, LivePIPE can identify and locate potential threats in real time.

Chris Shannon, CEO of Fotech Solutions commented: “While North America is one of the most mature pipeline markets in the world, there remains a huge opportunity for operators to improve their safety and security measures.”

“Our LivePIPE solution gives operators continuous visibility of pipeline integrity threats across an entire pipeline network,” he added.
